To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail whether her Department (i) supported; and (ii) recognised the 2025 16 Days of Activism against Gender-Based Violence.

Answer:

The 16 Days of Activism initiative has been coordinated by DoF on behalf of all Departments. Material was shared via emails to all staff and on the DfE intranet along with that of all other Departments.

I welcomed the opportunity to speak at the ICTU Safe Leave Rally on 25 November around my commitment to introduce paid safe leave before the end of the Assembly mandate to enable workers who are victims and survivors of domestic abuse to access vital support.
