Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy for her assessment of the amount NIE Networks will be able to raise per annum, from additional charges added to (i) domestic; and (ii) commercial customers' electricity bills, as a result of her decision to socialise grid connection costs.

Answer:

The Utility Regulator has confirmed that the policy change to deliver fairer grid connection charges, does not constitute a reopening of NIE Networks’ RP7 price control determinisation and therefore there will be no additional NIE Networks’ charges for electricity consumers.
