To ask the Minister for Communities to detail the number of social homes that are projected to be delivered through the Proposed Draft Budget 2026-29/30.

Answer:

When a final Budget for 2026-2029/30 has been agreed by the Executive, I will prioritize the capital allocation for my Department and will provide an allocation for the Social Housing Development Programme.

It will then be for the Northern Ireland Housing Executive, as the commissioning body for the Social Housing Development Programme, to consider how the budget may best be used to meet identified housing need before any figure for starts in 2026-29/30 can be confirmed.
