Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister to detail whether the Executive Office has now received (i) a report containing the findings of three independent research projects on Historical Clerical Child Abuse, commissioned by their Department; and (ii) the six recommendations agreed by the inter-departmental working group.

Answer:

The Interdepartmental Working Group (IDWG) on Historical Clerical Child Abuse commissioned three independent research projects, all of which reported by summer 2025. Based on the findings of the research projects, the IDWG developed six high level recommendations, in consultation with victims and survivors.

We are carefully considering the findings of the research and the IDWG recommendations.
