Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy whether Northern Ireland receives the statistical benefits of counting renewable energy, imported from the Republic of Ireland and Scotland, into the local grid.

Answer:
The reporting of electricity consumption and renewable generation statistics from 2014 to date has not included renewable electricity generation from either the Republic of Ireland or Scotland. In reporting to date, renewable electricity generation refers to local metered renewable generation.
