Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities whether he will be following the Welsh Housing Quality Standard, from April 2026, to ensure protection for all tenures across Northern Ireland.

Answer:

I will not be following the Welsh Housing Quality Standard from April 2026.

My Department is currently consulting on proposals to revise the Decent Homes Standard, which is the standard that all social housing providers are required to meet in Northern Ireland.
