To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister for their assessment of the impact of the absence of a single equality Act on Northern Ireland’s compliance with Windsor Framework Article 2.

Answer:

Compliance with Windsor Framework Article 2 is a UK Government commitment. It is only for Departments where implementation falls within the devolved space.

Whether the relevant equality law provisions are contained in a single act or several pieces of legislation has no impact on compliance with Article 2 of the Windsor Framework.
