To ask the Minister for Communities, pursuant to AQW 37656/22-27, whether the capital funding for Newtownards Library will be returned to the Department of Finance if it is not utilised by the end of this financial year.

Answer:

My Department’s Capital Budget is closely managed throughout the year to ensure that any Non-Ringfenced Capital easements which emerge in-year are utilised to meet other capital pressures within the Department. This oversight ensures that the department can maximise the delivery of services to the community and return a balanced Capital Budget.
