Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance to detail when he knew about the impact of the draft NI Reval2026, on hospitality businesses.

Answer:

I was first advised of the emerging valuation impacts across all business sectors in late 2025 and continued to monitor the position through further briefings ahead of publication of the draft list on 22 January 2026.

As I set out in my statement to the Assembly on 2 February 2026, I have listened carefully to the concerns raised by the hospitality sector and decided to stop Reval2026 so that we could take stock and allow sectors the space to provide the evidence needed for a full examination of the issues.
