Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any plans she has to ensure that training for solicitors, in both immigration and Northern Irish law, is available from academic institutions in Northern Ireland.

Answer:

While my Department is responsible for the oversight and funding of the Higher Education sector here, as autonomous institutions the universities are responsible for their course offerings and content. The professional training and development of solicitors is not a matter for my Department.

The Higher Education Institutions may be able to provide the member with information regarding what is currently available in their course offerings.
