To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any proposals he intends to bring forward to raise energy-efficiency standards, in the private rented sector.

Answer:

Work has commenced to develop and introduce Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards Regulations for the private rented sector. It is, however, too early in the policy development process to provide specific detail on proposals. Progress will be reported on as part of the implementation of the Housing Supply and Warm Healthy Homes Strategies.
