To ask the Minister of Health whether the default option for routine postnatal contacts in the first 10 days is home visiting, in each Health and Social Care Trust.

Answer:

Across all Health and Social Care Trusts, the default option for routine postnatal contacts within the first 10 days following birth is home visiting. While clinicbased or telephone contacts may be offered where clinically appropriate or at the request of the mother, home visits remain the standard and preferred model of postnatal care.
