Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities whether his Department has engaged with the Department for Infrastructure regarding disability access within private parking infrastructure.

Answer:

My Department is leading on development of the cross-departmental Executive Disability Strategy which is currently out for public consultation.

While the issue of disability access within private parking infrastructure has not yet been specifically discussed, all issues identified as a result of the consultation, including those related to disability access within private parking infrastructure, will be looked at on a cross-departmental basis and subsequently by the Disability Forum which is to be established upon NI Executive approval of the finalised Strategy.
