To ask the Minister for Communities for his assessment of whether the British Parking Association’s Code of Practice adequately promotes meeting the needs and requirements of those with disabilities.

Answer:

My Department is leading on development of the cross-departmental Executive Disability Strategy which is currently out for public consultation.

All issues identified as a result of the consultation, including an assessment of whether the British Parking Association’s Code of Practice adequately promotes meeting the needs and requirements of those with disabilities, will be looked at on a cross-departmental basis and subsequently by the Disability Forum which is to be established upon NI Executive approval of the finalised Strategy.
