Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail (i) any assessment her Department has made of the condition of the road surface between Bellarena and Benone; and (ii) whether any resurfacing or tarmac works are planned for this route.

Answer:

Any resurfacing scheme would be co-ordinated with the proposed Signature Active Travel Scheme.

Details of all resurfacing schemes planned for the 2025/26 financial year are provided in my Department’s annual report to Council.

In the meantime, my Department will continue to undertake routine inspections and actionable defects will be prioritised for repair in accordance with the Limited Service Policy in so far as resources permit.
