To ask the Minister of Health, in relation to mobility equipment, to detail (i) the total number of requests; and (ii) the average wait time between initial assessment and provision, to nursing and residential care homes, in each of the last three financial years, broken down by Health and Social Care Trust.

Answer:

The Trusts are unable to provide the total number of requests or the average wait times.

Trusts record requests for mobility equipment under several categories and are unable to specifically identify referrals for nursing and residential care home residents. Assessment for mobility aids will be a component of a comprehensive physiotherapy assessment.
