To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to detail the number of environmental enforcement cases referred for prosecution, in each of the last five years, broken down by whether the perpetrator was (i) a public body; or (ii) a private individual or entity.
Answer:
My Department has referred 102 environmental enforcement cases for prosecution over the last five years. Of those referred for prosecution 6 were against a public body and 96 against a private individual or entity.
