To ask the Minister for the Economy for an update on the Renewable Electricity Price Guarantee scheme legislation.

Answer:

I have submitted a paper to the Executive to agree the final policy.

Once Executive approval is secured, my department aims to introduce the required primary legislation for the Renewable Electricity Price Guarantee scheme to the Assembly before summer recess 2026.

Once the Primary Bill is in place, subordinate legislation will be taken forward to set out the detailed arrangements.
