Question:
To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 30536/22-27, to provide an update on the review of funding provided by his Department to support students on pre-registration healthcare programmes.

Answer:

My Department is continuing to review funding arrangements for commissioned and non-commissioned tertiary level courses leading to HSC careers.

Officials are engaging with key stakeholders to develop options for a public consultation on that issue. This collaborative work will continue until the review is finalised. I would then hope to launch a public consultation on future options in this area.
