To ask the Minister of Finance to detail any engagement his Department has had with the Department of Justice in relation to funding the PSNI holiday pay liability, as an exceptional pressure.

Answer:

There has been an ongoing engagement between myself and the Justice Minister, as well as my predecessor, on this issue.

My officials have also been actively engaging with counterparts in Department of Justice (DoJ), to ensure that my department remains aware of the potential costs that may be incurred.

In terms of the funding for the financial settlement DoF will continue to engage with counterparts in DoJ to determine the quantum of funding that is required and the time period in which payments fall due.
