To ask the Minister of Health whether he has any plans to implement a licensing scheme for non-surgical aesthetic procedures.

Answer:

In the short time that remains of this mandate, my Department has no current plans to introduce a licencing scheme or mandatory regulation for non-surgical cosmetic procedures. Consideration and development of such a scheme would likely involve considerable joint working with, and roles and responsibilities for, a number of other partner statutory bodies.
