Question:
To ask the Minister of Education, as part of his changes to AS and A Levels, whether pupils will have the choice to take part of the new three unit assessment at the end of year 13.

Answer:

Pupils will be able to take one unit of the new modular A level at the end of Year 13 or all three units at the end of year 14. CCEA will designate one of the three units of assessment for each A level subject that can be taken at the end of Year 13. The designated unit will be worth 30% with the remaining 70% of assessment being taken in year 14.
