To ask the Minister of Education whether his Department has carried out any assessment of the introduction of V-Levels in England.

Answer:

My Department is currently considering the potential implications of the reform of post-16 vocational pathways in England. In particular, the potential impact on the range of vocational qualifications that will be available to Northern Ireland schools in future years.

My officials have been engaging with officials in the Department for Education in England who are leading these reforms, as well as liaising with officials in the Department for the Economy who also have a policy interest in potential changes to the vocational qualifications landscape. That engagement will continue as details of the proposed changes emerge.
