Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure to detail the number of times a payment to a contractor was withheld or delayed, as a result of failing to meet her Department’s quality standards during inspection, in each of the last five years.

Answer:

My Department may withhold or delay payments to contractors pending resolution of queries or completion of necessary remedial works. While the Department's financial system does record details of disputed invoices, the information held is insufficient to separately identify payments withheld because of issues identified during inspection of works.
