To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether her Department has provided any guidance to Translink regarding the appropriate use of surcharges on train tickets.

Answer:

Translink sets its fares within the framework of its public service contract and the wider faresetting powers available under public transport legislation. My Department has not issued any specific guidance to Translink regarding the use of surcharges on train tickets.
