Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister whether their office's Ending Violence Against Women and Girls programme facilitates specific community support in areas where a woman has been murdered.

Answer:
The Ending Violence Against Women and Girls Strategic Framework has a focus on prevention, and tackling the root causes of violence, abuse and harm.
We have invested over £5m on the ground through the Local and Regional Change Funds, to support the prevention outcomes of the Strategic Framework.
The Local Change Fund operates across all eleven local council districts to ensure grassroot groups across cities, towns, villages and rural areas are equipped to prevent and respond to violence against women and girls. EVAWG activities are taking place in schools, workplaces, sports clubs, community centres and youth clubs. Along with Local Change Fund Projects, Councils have used their Momentum funding to build knowledge and hold events within their areas.
Activity since January 2025 has seen Regional Delivery Organisations support local Councils with training, information and resources, as well as partnering with local community organisations to support projects under the Local Change Fund.
Through partners and local councils, we endeavour to offer targeted support if and when required and possible.
