Question: To ask the Minister for Communities whether there are any schemes available to support households investing in renewable energy, such as solar, heat pumps, or electric car charging ports, for domestic purposes.
Answer:
My Officials are currently developing the Warm Healthy Homes Fund: an energy efficiency scheme to improve the warmth, health, and energy affordability for low-income households. The Fund will be aimed at owner occupiers and those in the private rented sector who are experiencing or at risk of fuel poverty. The Fund will adopt a whole house approach, offering fully funded energy efficiency measures. For owner occupiers, this will include low carbon heating solutions and other renewable technologies such as Solar PV and battery storage. The Fund will be further shaped by public consultation in the next few weeks and is anticipated to launch in April 2027.
