Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy whether she has progressed any of the recommendations relevant to her Department, contained within the Independent Review of Education, since the publication of the report.

Answer:

My Department continues to work collaboratively with the Department of Education on a number of relevant Independent Review of Education recommendations, particularly those relating to post16 provision, careers, and 14–19 pathways.

There are now agreed structures in place to support more effective crossdepartmental collaboration and promote a more strategic and coherent approach to provision across the education system.

As the Department of Education is the lead Department and ultimate owner of the Review and its recommendations, updates on overall progress should be provided by that Department.
