Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities whether his Department has any plans to support the growth of cricket.

Answer:

My Department is supporting the NICSSA ‘A Shared Space for All’ redevelopment of the Pavilion at Stormont, which will deliver modern, inclusive and accessible facilities.

My Department is working with NICSSA and Cricket Ireland to progress the project, recognising its potential to support cricket participation alongside wider community use.

The Chief Executive of Sport NI has also sent me information about their work to support the growth of cricket. As the response contains substantial

detail, I have arranged for it to be made available in the Assembly Library.
