To ask the Minister for Infrastructure for an update on the flood alleviation scheme for Downpatrick.

Answer:

Work is currently progressing on the business case for the proposed Downpatrick Flood Alleviation Scheme. This includes detailed cost analysis to help support the assessment of the project’s effectiveness and value for money. The findings will be incorporated into the business case, which we aim to have a draft complete for consideration in early May 2026.
