Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure, pursuant to AQW 42344/22-27, to detail (i) the current percentage of pothole repairs checked for quality; and (ii) how this has changed over the last three years.

Answer:

As outlined in my answer to AQW 42344/22-27 defects are instructed for repair either through our internal or external contractor. On completion of the repair, my officials undertake a percentage check to assess the quality of the pothole repair and confirm works for payment if the repair meets the required threshold.

Section Office staff aim to undertake a minimum 10% check of repairs, however these checks are not subjected to formal monitoring and as such the Department cannot comment on trend data over the last three years.
