Question:
To ask the Minister of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs to detail the amount his Department has spent on tree planting, in each of the last five years.


Answer:
My Department has funded landowners to plant trees over the past 5 years through forestry grant schemes. In addition, my Department has funded tree planting on the public forest estate. This spend includes tree planting on land acquired by the Department for woodland creation and for the regeneration of forests following harvesting operations.
