Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any assessment her Department has made of higher education funding models in other UK jurisdictions including how this is informing the development of a revised funding model in Northern Ireland.

Answer:

The first stage of a Higher Education Funding Review, an independent Financial Needs Assessment of our Higher Education Institutions, has recently been completed. A summary of the report was published on the Departmental website on 18 March.
