Question:
To ask the Minister for Communities for an update on any progress made towards implementing a revised Decent Homes Standard, given that the recent consultation closed on 4 March 2026.

Answer:

The Department is currently analysing all consultation responses and recommendations. This work will inform the development of a draft summary report, which the Department aims to publish by summer 2026.

Subject to the outcome of this analysis, the Department intends to finalise and publish the revised Decent Homes Standard by the end of 2026. It is anticipated the revised standard will come into effect in 2030/31.
