Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail their understanding of the impact of financial pressures on the ability to expand student numbers at Magee.

Answer:

The expansion of Ulster University’s Magee campus remains a clear priority for me and for my Department. My commitment to the programme and its long-term ambition to grow the campus remains unchanged.

Like all Departments, the Department for the Economy’s finances are extremely challenging. I am working to secure a funding settlement that can deliver a sustainable Higher Education sector.
