Question: To ask the Minister for Communities to detail any funding his Department has made to (i) Choice Housing; (ii) Apex Housing Association; and (iii) Triangle Housing Association, over the last five years.
Answer:
The majority of the funding provided to Housing Associations is an operational matter for the Housing Executive. I have sought the requested information from the Interim Chief Executive, who has advised me as follows: “Please see the table below detailing funding by the Northern Ireland Housing Executive to (i) Choice Housing; (ii) Apex Housing Association; and (iii) Triangle Housing Association, over the last five financial years. Housing Association | 2021/22 | 2022/23 | 2023/24 | 2024/25 | 2025/26 | Total | | £k's | £k's | £k's | £k's | £k's | £k's | i) Choice HA | 21,491 | 35,910 | 50,084 | 38,156 | 39,842 | 185,483 | ii) Apex HA | 20,866 | 25,173 | 58,501 | 13,175 | 21,353 | 139,069 | iii) Triangle HA | 14,904 | 13,480 | 8,222 | 10,777 | 13,237 | 60,620 | Total | 57,261 | 74,563 | 116,807 | 62,108 | 74,433 | 385,171 |
Please Note: 2025/26 figures are draft and remain subject to change until completion of the audit process. The figures may be subject to rounding.” In addition, the Department made an award of £235,000 to Apex Housing in the 2024/25 financial year under the Mixed Tenure Housing Development Grant programme.
