Question:
To ask the Minister for the Economy to detail any engagement she has had with (i) Ulster University; (ii) the relevant staff unions; and (iii) student unions, since 15 April 2026.

Answer:

Ulster University is an autonomous institution and, as such, decisions relating to staffing are a matter for the University. I recognise that this will be a worrying time for staff and I am working to secure a funding settlement that can deliver a sustainable Higher Education sector.
