To ask the Minister of Health to detail the average waiting time for an initial appointment for an autism diagnosis for children under the age of 18.

Answer:

The Department does not hold currently information on average waiting times for Autism Spectrum Disorder Assessment.

Department Officials have written to all Health and Social Care Trusts to advise that validated waiting list information returns for Autism Services must be provided through Encompass from April 2026.
