Question:
To ask the Minister of Education to detail the number of young people due to leave special schools this year.

Answer:

Pupils with a statement of special education needs can chose to remain in school until the end of the academic year in which they turn 19 years old. Based on the most recent School Census, it is estimated that 300 pupils will be aged 19 and over at the end of the current academic year.
