Question:
To ask the Minister of Education for an update on the provision of a Special School Handbook.

Answer:

Good progress has been made on the development of a handbook for both Special Schools and for specialist provision in mainstream schools.

Officials are working with professional colleagues within the Department and the Education Authority on the development of guidance room data sheets and exemplar layouts, setting out the requirements for each space within a Special School.
