Question:
To ask the Minister of Health whether any assessment has been made of any legislative gaps in mandatory safeguarding practices for organisations and individuals working with children and young people, outside the scope of regulated activity.

Answer:

Through ongoing engagement with key partners and stakeholders my Department continually assesses the adequacy of the legislation which can be highlighted by the recent removal of the supervision exemption from The Safeguarding Vulnerable Groups (Northern Ireland) Order 2007.
