Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether the old Little Sunbeams Nursery site will be utilised to expand the Saintfield site of Oakwood School and Assessment Centre, given its immediate proximity to the school.

Answer:

The former Little Sunbeams Pre-School and Playgroup building is owned by the Management Committee of the pre-school. The Education Authority (EA) has been approached by the Chair of the Management Committee with an offer to acquire the modular building for use as a nursery unit for Oakwood School.

The EA has commenced work on compiling a feasibility report and business case which will determine whether any potential acquisition would represent value for money, subject to the availability of capital funding.
