Question:
To ask the First Minister and deputy First Minister to detail any consideration they have given to introducing an artificial intelligence register, similar to the Scottish AI Register managed by the Scottish Government, and the Algorithmic Transparency Recording Standard Hub managed by the UK Government.

Answer:
We recognise that building public confidence and trust is critical to the responsible adoption of AI and have approved the draft AI Strategy for public consultation. The Strategy includes a range of actions to support transparency and responsible use, including the proposed creation of a publicly available AI Register to improve consistency and public confidence in the use of AI across the public sector.
The draft Strategy will be available for public consultation, providing an opportunity for stakeholders and the wider public to inform its final development before seeking Executive agreement to publish.
