Question:
To ask the Minister of Finance, following the October 2025 publication of his Department's review of shared property management policy, to detail any steps his Department has taken to progress reform.

Answer:

Following the publication of the review, I engaged with officials within the Civil Law Reform branch and directed the creation of a dedicated team, with the necessary expertise, to carry out detailed policy development that would drive forward legislative reform early in the next mandate.

This is being advanced against the backdrop of a difficult budget position, and my Department is considering different resourcing options to create this new, specialist team within Civil Law Reform.
