To ask the Minister of Education to detail any resources that will be provided to schools in the 2026-27 academic year to facilitate special educational needs coordinator classroom release.

Answer:

The budget for the 2026–27 full financial year has not yet been agreed and, therefore, no decision has been made in respect of earmarked funding provided under the SENCO implementation of the Special Educational Needs and Disability Act (Northern Ireland) 2016.
