Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether he will consider making swift bricks mandatory on any new build capital projects under his Department's remit.

Answer:

All new school buildings are required to meet current Building Control Regulations and to have planning approval in place before progression. Should the use of swift bricks be mandated in Northern Ireland the Department will comply with any new Regulations issued.
