To ask the Minister of Health, pursuant to AQW 40637/22-27, for an update on when the Bill of Amendment to the Health and Social Care (Control of Data Processing) Act (Northern Ireland) 2016 will be introduced into the Assembly.

Answer:

My Department is seeking to introduce the proposed Health and Social Care (Data Processing Amendment) Bill to the Assembly in June 2026.

The Bill will amend the Health and Social Care (Control of Data Processing) Act (Northern Ireland) 2016.

This timetable remains subject to completion of the necessary Executive and Assembly processes.
