To ask the Minister of Education to detail any role the previous work of the Religious Education Advisory Committee will play in the drafting of the new Religious Education syllabus.

Answer:

As part of the ongoing work on the new RE syllabus, Professor Noel Purdy OBE and Joyce Logue have engaged with individuals, groups and organisations previously involved in the Religious Education Advisory Committee. Those engagements, alongside broader stakeholder engagement and a Call for Evidence, have informed the ongoing process with the practitioner drafting group.
