Question:
To ask the Minister for Infrastructure whether her Department has ringfenced funding for additional speed indicator devices, in the 2026-27 budget.

Answer:

Policing and Community Safety Partnerships (PCSPs) are responsible for Speed Indicator Devices (SIDs), and they are funded by the Department of Justice through the Northern Ireland Policing Board.

My Department works in partnership with the above-mentioned bodies to ensure their safe and managed placement through developed policy Speed Indicator Devices DEM 191/23 (infrastructure-ni.gov.uk).
