Question:
To ask the Minister of Education whether any aspect of TransformED improves vocational and technical pathways in schools.

Answer:

As part of TransformED, the Department intends to review the range of vocational qualifications delivered in schools to ensure an appropriate balance between academic and vocational pathways. Later this year the Department plans to consult on a policy framework for vocational qualifications delivered in schools.

Our aim is to ensure that vocational qualifications available in schools are fit for purpose in a modern context, keeping pace with developments in the economy, technology and the world of work, while also supporting progression to higher levels of learning, training and employment.
